With its elegant Victorian town houses situated amid the buzz of the West End, Charlotte Street is a highly sought after address.

Merchant Land acquired three adjacent buildings located at 61, 63 and 65 Charlotte Street in 2014 and gained planning permission in January 2016. The existing poorly maintained buildings will make way for eight stylish apartments over five storeys. Ground level has been set aside for commercial space which has been earmarked for independent retailers, to add to the mix of outlets along the street.

Designed by local architects Studio Dowie, the original Victorian fa├žade of this townhouse has been preserved despite a substantial overhaul inside and a new courtyard. New offices to the rear will be home to Merchant Land.

First and foremost this is going to be Merchant Land's new London headquarters where we will run our own business as part of the community of businesses and residents in Charlotte Street for the long term. Whilst we understand no construction work is easy for the people around it - we want to be as easy to work with as possible whilst the disruption continues.

Meet and Greet for Local Residents and Neighbours at Navarros 6pm 17th of November 2016

Now that the construction works are underway the developers and contractors are keen to make sure anyone impacted by our construction work can meet and swap concerns or contact details with us if desired. Tea, coffee and cake will be provided between 6pm and 7pm that evening.

Apology - Noisy Works Out of Hours Week Commencing 2 Oct 2016

We are really sorry that there was some unacceptable out of hours working that occurred this week as the new teams arrived on site. We have made contact with individuals affected and Camden Council and will police this on a zero tolerance basis going forward.

Appointment of Rosguill Developments Ltd

Merchant Land is pleased to confirm the appointment of Rosguill Developments Ltd as main contractors at our new project at Charlotte St. The contractors were given possession of the site on the 1st of September 2016. Katherine McCullough, Head of UK Property for Merchant Land stated, "This is ultimately going to be our new head office and we want to be good neighbours not just long term but from the get go. We appreciate the level of construction in Fitzrovia in recent years has been immense - we will try our best to be sensitive to that whilst delivering the build."
